My wild ideas Springlily

W.A.L.T:To write a poem inspired by Ashleigh Young.

As my wild ideas drifted away,

I  began to have a gaze,

My wild ideas take me to places I       have never been,

My wild ideas are so creative ,

I begin to maple that all Im might turn to fable.

The house Springlily

WALT :Use varied sentence beginnings and lengths.
I think I did well with not using dilapidated and not much and’s.I think I need to improve on not using that much coma’s.

The weather beaten, bleached weatherboards slouched as the wind blew, the room’s had a permanent aroma of dampness, the wallpaper had long given up clinging to the wall, broken glass was everywhere , Our house had a disgusting sense of smell, A broken down  car was parked sat on the porch  ,Our floor was cold, damp. Our walls on our rented house were stained with red paint.

How do make a sock puppet?

Have you ever wondered how to make a sock puppet?

Sock puppets are fun and cool and funny you should try make one.

Firstly you measure the mouth with felt.

Secondly you cut the felt  into shape leaving the fold.

thirdly you cut the sock where the mouth goes.

Fourthly you put  the felt into the mouth.

Fifthly you safety pin it into place using 2 safety pins so it dose not fall off the sock.

Then you sew the felt into place with a thread and needle.

Then once you have finished sewing you can  hot glue a nose, mouth, nose, eyes and tongue.

Lastly once you have finished you can make a pattern so it dose not look blank.

Therefore this is how to make a sock puppet.

The storm by Springlily Sera Peri

Bang!!!One stormy night , I was sitting in my room looking out my window as the dark clouds stained the horizon with blood as the sun sank. The ferocious wind whirled around my house viciously. Thunder struck through the clouds like daggers. The thunder struck against the power lines as the grey clouds cried. Crash!!!our power went out , my baby brothers cry was like the whistling wind. My mum stomped anxiously , then mumbled “ I don’t think we can go anywhere at the moment”. The pohutukawa tree outside was swaying back and forward like a girls hair. Then suddenly Boom!!!the broccoli like tree fell, I shivered gruesomely . My heart pounded dejectedly as the thunder rumbled. Knock Knock!!! My mum couldn't see where she was going and bumped into the shelf. “What are you doing mum?” I whispered. She replied in a hurt tone “going to the door”, Then Suddenly mum reached the door and opened it. Then papa was there standing outside soaked to the bone.” well I better get out my torch” papa mumbled then all of a sudden papa’s torch was asbright as the moon at night then that night papa yelled above the storm”Come girl get in the car you can come stay with me and your mum for a while” my mum nodded then papa growled” Well hurry up then pack some clothes for you and your kids. Then me and my mum and baby brother stayed at my nana’s and papa’s house for while.

Just Kidding - Panui

This week in reading we were learning how to summarize a story so we can learn how to. I think I need to speak up and sound more confident next time.
